Okay moms. I know it’s a scary thought bringing your baby to the pool for a lot of reasons but I rolled up my sleeves and did it! Summer is right around the corner and it’s time to get PREPARED!
In this post, I’ll go over swimwear, sunscreen, floating device, and how to travel with your baby in ONE trip. I made sure I could carry everything with ease so I have several tips for you as far as traveling with your baby to the pool alone goes. Plus, the floating device I used is PERFECT for you moms that don’t want to brave it out with regular floaties and your arms!
The floating device is Swimways Baby Spring Float Activity Center. Man that’s a mouthful lol but listen…it works! It took me about five minutes to blow up. I made sure the device worked by holding onto my son for dear life when I first put him in the water. And when I realized how well he was floating we had a BLAST together. It made the water fun for him…and the experience they have is the most important thing when it comes to being comfortable in the water.
As for swimwear, we splurged. However, I love the long sleeve Tea Collection because it’s great at blocking the sun if you plan to be outside for long periods of time at the beach or pool. The material of his bathing suit is so nice. It’s clearly very cozy and not too tight. It’s also lasted us several months now! Here is the link to his Shark Swimsuit from the Tea Collection. They have a ton of cute designs for both boys and girls!
Obviously, you see from the pics that I LATHERED this boy up in sunscreen. When it comes to my baby I only use clean products. This brand is formulated with non-nano zinc oxide, along with botanicals, antioxidants, minerals and natural moisturizers. It’s vegan and gluten free. It also is water proof up to 40 minutes! Be cautious of any brand that tells you it’s “all day water proof”. A little goes a long way with it so it will last you a while! Here is the link to Arbonne’s Baby Care Sunscreen SPF 30.
Okay moms…so when it comes to getting all of this stuff to the pool WITH your baby…a stroller is key. If you try to carry your baby, your own pools bag, and the floating device…you are using for a stressful experience. As much of a hassle as it may seem to get your stroller to the pool it is worth it. I have an awesome stroller attachment that holds a ton of bags! See pic below! Unlike other stroller clips this one is super large and durable. It’s worth the extra few bucks. Just attach all of your pool bags and their floating device to the clip and you are goo to go!
